Cry Today, Smile Tomorrow

My youngest son and I love this song by Anthony Ramos "Cry Today, Smile Tomorrow". He speaks of how the problems and struggles in his life shows him that there is a purpose. Even though friends may abandon him, there is always someone to hold him up. He breaks through walls. He's perfectly, imperfect.

This week I am grateful to be available for those who were crying (not literally).

I received a call from an unknown caller. Typically, I would ignore it because I receive a lot of spam. I listened to my higher self and answered the call. It was a woman who I honestly don't remember, a connection from my jobs ago. She inquired about my LinkedIn page and my career experience. I cautiously answered because this was not a recruiter. Within 30 minutes, I found out that she had just been laid-off (literally). I let her talk about herself and asked a few questions.

I took a chance since we were connecting quickly. This moment of time for her was really an opportunity. The stars, planets, time of year were in alignment for this unfortunate event to turn into real abundance for her and her family. I felt the electricity and hope in her voice but she was unsteady. So I said, "You might not believe in this, but do you know what today is?" I told her to get a piece of paper and a pen. Write down everything she deserved for herself. It was time for her to set her intention, do some hard work for the next two weeks (I gave her specifics), and then watch her manifestations come into reality. Later I sent her a link to a woman with a recruiting company that I follow on LinkedIn. She is highly motivational and has a large following. My new bestie replied that she had just finished her 100 Affirmations!

The world we live in is not as it appears. As a spiritual being, you have so much power that no one person, employer, or agency should send you into a spiral. Get the emotion out, cry, hit something, throw a plate, whatever. But then...BREATHE. Pray. Meditate. Phone a friend. Or, call someone you may have spoken to once or twice probably 7 years ago that you admired from afar. Pick your ASS up! Remember that every single thing that happens in your life is for a DIVINE PURPOSE.

Cry Today, Smile Tomorrow.
