My Eczema is HEALED! Finally.

I have suffered from eczema (atopic dermatitis) on and off for 50 years of my life. It comes and goes. Over the past year or so has been the longest timeframe suffering from itchy skin and eczema rash that just WOULD NOT go away. Typically, it would pop up during the winter when it was cold and dry. I thought it was triggered by synthetic fabrics and moisturizers that I do not normally wear during warmer months. As I experimented with different things, I found many more triggers for myself.

Your entire body is a complex web of systems and energy points. They all work together to regenerate the body, make new cells, and eliminate old cells or anything that is foreign. When the body is off balance, it goes into defense mode. Many times, a symptom is only a sign that the body is working properly to regain balance. We should not stop the symptom but work with it to achieve health and wellness.

Over the years, I have learned that I am ulta sensitive to food, preservatives, medicines, irritants in environment, and stress. Any one of these things can trigger eczema, some type of allergic reaction, or an "illness". You would think that with a better diet, stress management, and other lifestyle changes the eczema would be nonexistent. YES and NO. When you have lived a particular lifestyle for most of your life and you flip that switch, it takes time for your body to release, detoxify, and regenerate into your newer self. AND...sometimes things get WORSE before it gets better.

As long as I showed signs of the eczema, my body was still releasing toxins. I was taking herbal teas, special baths, eating tons of seedless watermelon, and seeing my acupuncturist regularly this year. Then, I hit a turning point in October. I completed a liver and gallbladder cleanse right before a doctors appointment. During my annual physical, my general practioner recommended that I treat my eczema naturally as an INFECTION. She ordered my comprehensive blood panel and I went on my way. Also around this time, my son had been ill and had a stubborn cough that would not go away easily. I took a visit to a local Chinese herbal store for a temporary solution for him while we waited for our prescribed herbal tincture to come in the mail. While I was there, I had the herbalist look at my arm and explained what I had been doing on my own with the doctor's suggestion. He sent me on my way with herbs for both my son and I with strict dietary restrictions on a sheet of paper. I also purchased a mineral cream as a topical solution for the eczema. The main things I had to eliminate were all berries, nuts, and seeds which were the staple of my diet! Other items I could not eat included ginger, cinnamon, mango, and spicy foods. I started the herbs (granulated and easily dissolvable in hot water) and made the diet adjustments immediately. In less than 30 days, I had little to no signs of eczema. I did another liver cleanse in November and December to continue the detoxification process.

I am reminded that the body is always changing and evolving. You have to stay in tune with yourself to make alterations as required to remain healthy as a whole person. Feed your mind, body, and spirit with those things that will nourish and heal you. Avoid the rest for a better YOU.

Hugs!

Hi April!

I'm so happy for you! I'm going to look for a Chinese Herbal store in my area as another resource.
