Peace!

Thank you for visiting my personal blog. The mission is to connect with others and share a holistic approach to health and wellness. As human beings, we have both a spiritual and physical side that we tend to neglect until it is broken. There is not enough emphasis on being proactive in optimizing our bodies and minds.


My journey started when my mother died from cancer when I was in 8th grade. I promised to take care of myself with the fear of dying young. There were bumps along the way. High school vending machines were popular for a lazy lunch or after school snack. Thankfully, I loved to dance, and pom poms kept me active through most of the school year. Many of the social pressures in college are distractions: all night study sessions, parties, drinking, a plethora of dating options, and fast food. Leaving the dormitories allowed me to have more control of my personal space. I came home to peace after a busy day of class or other social engagements. I purposefully left my car at the apartment and walk into campus. I ate less junk and cooked my own meals.


After graduation, I continued to ride my bike on trails, rollerblade, and take walks. I joined gyms and had personal trainers to stay fit in my 30s and after having babies. I have explored all types of diets including keto, veganism, Eat Right for your Blood Type and calorie counting to maintain my 5’9” 160lb frame. I went to church regularly because it was how as I was raised by my parents.


Then, something happened. I WOKE UP! It was gradual. I have always been a seeker of TRUTH. I read books, listened to podcasts, and watch videos on all types of subjects revolving around self-improvement. Specific situations at home, work, church, and social organizations made me realize there was something more happening within myself. I always had the gift of dreams and intuition. Naturally, I guided myself to keeping myself healthy, but I was ignorant to the true power of mind, body, and soul. It was not all about diet and exercise to keep you in shape. You must take care of your soul. Heal yourself literally from the inside out so you can carry out your mission while you are on this physical earth.
